Family Services of NW PA’s Family Based Mental Health (FBMH) program provides teams of co-therapists who provide intensive in-home therapy, case management and crisis intervention services to families with a child who has a mental illness or emotional problems. The program serves children from birth to 21 years of age with a mental health diagnosis who have been hospitalized/ placed or who are at risk for out-of-home placement including hospitalization.

The program serves children and youth age 0-21

- Child has a mental health diagnosis and is at risk of an out-of-home placement
- At least one adult caregiver in the home must consent to participate in the therapeutic services.
- A psychiatrist or licensed psychologist must certify that this is the most appropriate treatment for the child.
