Meet the ILP Class of 2023

Please join us in celebrating all 2023 graduates in the Erie County Independent Living Program (ILP).

Bridget

Bridget graduated from Erie High School and plans to look into attending college soon. Here is what she had to say about her experience with the Erie County Independent Living Program:

"ILP has helped me by encouraging me to stay in school and giving support and offering life skills groups."

Christopher

Christopher graduated from Farrell High School. He plans to take a year off to work before returning to school to become a diesel mechanic. Here is what Christopher had to say about ILP:

"ILP has helped me by giving me the support to get through the struggles at my father's house and getting me into secure housing with ILP."

Destinee

Destinee graduated from PA Cyber School and plans to pursue a degree in Social Work in the Spring of next year. Here is what she had to say about her experience in ILP:

"My case managers have helped me figure out what I want to do, now what someone else wants me to do. Also, my case managers have helped me stand up for myself."

Jacob

Jacob graduated from North East High School and plans to attend the Erie Institute of Technology for Welding. Here is what he had to say:

Liana graduated from McDowell High School and plans to attend cosmetology school. This is what Liana had to say about ILP:

Makenna

Makenna graduated from Erie High School. She is currently a stay-at-home mom and enjoys spending time with her son. Here is what Makenna had to say:

"ILP helped me become motivated to graduate high scool, helped my attain my drivers license, and taught me to understand the importance of saving money."

Paul

Paul graduated from Harbor Creek High School. He will be working over the summer and plans to attend post-secondary education in the Spring. This is what Paul had to say about his experience with ILP:

"ILP has helped me study for my permit, get my state ID, tour colleges, and get a mentor for more support."
