Meet Our New Vice President of Development

February 1st, 2024

Danielle Szklenski was recently appointed to the newly created position of Vice President of Development at Family Services of NW PA. She brings to the role her deep understanding of the agency's many services.

Over the years, her program development and grant writing efforts have led to the implementation of several new evidence-based treatment models at FSNWPA, including Multisystemic Therapy, Functional Family Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She has also led efforts for Bowl For Kids' Sake, the largest and most successful fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Family Services of NW PA.

Szklenski is now focused on expanding the agency's fund development program, which includes a new Legacy Foundation for planned giving. "I'm most excited about the opportunity to help donors understand the tremendous impact their gifts have on the families we serve," said Szklenski. "I've seen that impact first-hand. I want our donors to feel that sense of fulfillment that comes when you know you played a part in helping people heal and strengthen their relationships."

Szklenski has a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Slippery Rock University.
