On Wednesday, August 18th, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Family Services of NW PA held its Annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner. The event recognizes volunteers, sponsors, donors, and supporters of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Family Services of NW PA. This year's Volunteer Appreciation Dinner was sponsored by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the BIG Impact Award. This award is presented each year to a former Big Brother or Big Sister who has gone above and beyond in their role as a volunteer mentor. This year's BIG Impact Award was presented to Erika Howland.
Erika was matched with Little Sister Randie almost 14 years ago. Before presenting the award, Randie talked about her experience with Big Brothers Big Sisters and the impact Erika had on her life.
