Little Brother Richie and Big Brother Mark are matched through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Family Services of NW PA. Richie's mom signed him up for the program because there weren't many kids to play with in their neighborhood.
"I really enjoy my time with Richie doing things he's interested in," said Mark. "I look forward to going to his sporting events and all the different events that Big Brothers Big Sisters has. I really enjoy that time together and the opportunity to be a mentor."
Mark and Richie have been matched for four years and have developed a close bond thanks, in part, to their shared interests. "We get along really well," said Richie. "We like a bunch of sports."
Richie's sister, Dustiny, is also matched through Big Brothers Big Sisters at Family Services of NW PA. "I've become extremely close with Richie's sister as well, Dustiny, and her Big Sister, Betsy," said Mark. "It's a great time for the four of us to do things, it's great to feel a part of our little group."
Betsy and Dustiny have been matched for more than two years. "I didn't know what to expect but as soon as I met her all those fears went away," said Betsy. "She was so bubbly and so sweet."
Dustiny joined the program after seeing how much fun Richie was having. "It's really fun," said Dusty. "Betsy loves people very much and she will treat you as if you were her own child."
