Strengthening Families Program for Parents and Youth 10-14 Spring Cohort

The Strengthening Families Program: For Parents and Youth 10-14 consists of one session each week for seven consecutive weeks from 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm. The Spring Cohort will be held on the following dates:

• Tuesday, April 9
• Tuesday, April 16
• Tuesday, April 23
• Tuesday, April 30
• Tuesday, May 7
• Tuesday, May 14
• Tuesday, May 21

About the Strengthening Families Program for Parents and Youth 10-14:
All families have strengths. The Strengthening Families Program will help your family become even stronger!

The Strengthening Families Program: For Parents and Youth 10-14 is an evidence-based skills-building program offered by Family Services of NW PA. Families learn to manage emotions, set goals, avoid peer pressure, make better decisions, and create better relationships.

Parents and youth practice skills with fun games and family projects. Free dinner, childcare and transportation are available to all enrolled families. Incentives are also available to all program participants.

Strengthening Families Program: For Parents and Youth 10-14 helps to:

• Prevent adolescent substance abuse and other behavior problems.
• Strengthen parent/youth communication skills.
• Increase academic success in youth.
