Family Services of NW PA is licensed to complete homestudies for individuals or couples who are in the process of adopting an identified child through a private arrangement with the birth family. Counseling services can be arranged for the birth family to assist them through the adoption process.

This agency accepts homestudy requests from attorneys, individuals or couples.

This agency is further licensed to provide post placement services that include but are not limited to: in home supervisions, required reports for the court, home inspections and updated homestudies. • Applicants are required to be at least 21 years of age or older
• If currently married, applicants are required to be married for 2 years
• Applicants are required to pass a physical
• Applicants are screened through the Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Childline and Federal Bureau of Investigation
• Applicants are required to provide proof of financial stability

A fee is required for this service.
