Family Behavioral Health

Family Behavioral Health Services is an intensive, in-home, psycho-educational service provided to strengthen families of children potentially at risk of placement or in need of reunification. Interventions include individual and family counseling, as well as crisis intervention and skill building. The focus of the program is to strengthen the abilities of families to provide for their children and to prevent unnecessary placement of children.

The program also provides casework services to address needs for food, medical care, housing assistance, other mental health services, or a variety of support services. Families are assisted to identify and utilize both formal and informal supports.

Workers may also coordinate visitation between families and their child(ren) in foster care.

Family Behavioral Health Services offers a 24/7 on-call response. Families in crisis can access an on-call worker via a pager system in the event that they need after hours assistance.
