Family Services Co-Hosting Upcoming Trauma Seminar

In recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month (April 2016) and Mental Health Awareness Month (May 2016), Family Services of NW PA has partnered with the Booker T. Washington Center and Mothers Against Teen Violence (MATV) in an effort to raise awareness about the impact of trauma and toxic stress and the importance of getting help.

When: Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 9:00 am – 11:00 am
Where: Booker T. Washington Center, 1720 Holland Street, Erie, PA 16503

Speakers Include:

  • Sonya Arrington – Erie City Councilwoman and Founder of Mothers Against Teen Violence (MATV)
  • Angela Chambers – Certified Trauma-Focused Behavioral Therapist at Family Services of NW PA
  • Shay Feliciano – Youth Leader at Booker T. Washington Center

The theme of this Awareness Seminar is “Trauma Leads to Drama, Dealing Leads to Healing.”
